The Button Room 2 Tier Lists
Cards and weapons ranked for escape runs and Mecha fights.
Loot in The Button Room 2 is noisy on purpose. Common cards, joke titles, and a Legendary Flamethrower can drop from the same luck machine. This hub exists so you stop treating every chromatic as equal. Split the problem in two: cards (buffs, potions, utility) and weapons (how you delete a wave).
Rankings assume a live Roblox server, not a private sandbox. A weapon that needs three teammates to look good is ranked lower than a Laser Rifle you can fire while photographing a safe.
How to use these lists
Open card tiers when you are about to spend Slot Coins or keep a pack from codes. Open weapon tiers when a crate, code, or tablet tries to replace your current gun.
S means “changes the run.” D means “sell to the trader.” Mid tiers are situational — a Gravity Gun is a toy until someone falls off a trap tile you created.
S-tier philosophy
Anything that adds lives, stops time, or deletes a crowd belongs at the top. Revive Cards, Super Potions, Time Stop Grenades, Laser Rifle, Flamethrower, and a working Portal Gun all convert a wipe into a clear. Blue Tape is S-tier utility because information is rarer than damage.
What not to rank on
Titles. Pikachu and Tip Hunter are fun. They do not change a ragdoll explosion. Equip them, then go back to cards.
Event-only ice and fire kits (Freeze Grenades, Fire Swords) spike during seasonal weeks and fall off when the updates cycle ends. We note them as event S, not eternal S.
Scripts that auto-kill are not a tier. They are a TOS risk on the scripts hub. This list assumes you click your own buttons.
Spend order after a code dump
- Keep Revive and Super Potion cards.
- Keep one high-tier gun from the weapon list.
- Keep Blue Tape and Tablet cards.
- Convert duplicate Commons into crypto-buttons.
- Only then roll luck machines.
New accounts should not roll at all until the escape objects are in hand. Gambling while you lack a camera is how the session becomes a comedy death clip.
Mecha versus chair
Chair runs want utility: tape, camera, plank, a mid gun. Mecha runs want sustained DPS and scissors. A Holy Grenade is a luxury on chair, a clutch on Mecha. If you are undecided, read Getting Started and pick an ending before you spend.
Patch warning
Pytox Studio still updates the chamber. A Chain Mace that looks S today can be a joke after a physics tweak. We re-check after milestone patches listed on updates. If a code grants a “multi-use” version of a weapon, that copy outranks the single-use card of the same name — duration is the whole point of the rank.
Use the two child pages as living loadouts, not as religion. The room will still kill you for pressing the unmarked skull. Tiers only decide what is in your hands when it happens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for the chamber, codes, and escape route.
Where is the card ranking?
On the card tier list. Weapons are separate on the weapon tier list.
Should I sell Common cards?
Usually yes, once you have a revive and a gun. Crypto-buttons buy tablet parts — see tools.
Do codes give S-tier loot?
Often. GameReturn and 50m_visits dump guns and potions. Check the codes hub before you farm.
Is this list for the Mecha or the chair ending?
Both. The child pages flag where a card is more important for one route.
